Yes we have a full-scale production cow barn and school farms. But our students are also in practice on other farms. We have about 200 students at the school so it's not such a big school. I think it's good to have a school barn that is real but still not where students can learn to safely and quietly
Yes i agree that students really enjoy the chance to do the practical work like this. How do you teach them about saftey? This is ometimes quite difficult in Australia.
We are talking about safety all the time, we show how to walk and to move among the animals, how to manage them, how to milk, how to work with sick animals, etc., both in terms of security but also ergonomically
