Here is a photo of some students riding in the arena. As you can see the arena is big and light. To the right are the stands where the audience on competition days can sit and watch. The arena is split in two to be able to accommodate both dressage and jumping competitions. This is a very cold day in February the temperature outside is -12 but inside the arena it’s only about -3 degrees.

Here is a photo during a class in Education and training of the Horse. The students that aren’t riding are watching from the ground in the corner of the arena so that they don’t disturb or obstruct the riding students. The teacher is standing in the middle and she is telling the riding students what to do with their horses whilst the other students are watching and reflecting on the other students. There is also mirrors on the walls for the riding students to see themselves in, which may help them in their learning process.

This is a photo of a class in the subject Education and training of the Horse, which is a course the students at Real College can choose to take in the 2nd year. The students have here gathered inside the arena and the teacher is having a briefing to the students on what they should pay attention to during the class. Half of the students are Riding and the other half is meant to observe the riding students and reflect on what they can do different to help the horse and the rider work in a correct way and also reflect on what they are doing right. When half of the lesson is done the students swap so they all get to observe and ride.

This is a photo in front of the Riding school Bulycke, west of Gothenburg, where the practical and some theoretical horse subjects is taking place for the students that are studying Equine studies at Real college. The white buildings are the stables and the riding school arena is to the right. The students studying at the Real College have access to the riding school on Tuesdays and Fridays and they have two teachers working for the college, which also works for the private Riding school.  Most practical subjects are being taught here such as Horse husbandry, management and riding. The other subjects that the equine students need to study to get their college degree such as English, Swedish, biology etc. is being taught in the centre of Gothenburg on the college grounds. This means the student’s travel between college grounds and the Riding school grounds for the different subjects.
